Who we are

Standing Bet is part of a small independent family of betting information sites for British expats, alongside FBodds.com (bookmakers and odds by country) and OpeningBet.com (welcome offers, explained honestly). Same principles everywhere: real information first, honest funding disclosure, and responsible gambling messaging on every page.

How this site is funded

Some links to bookmakers are affiliate links: if you open an account through one, the bookmaker pays us a commission. It costs you nothing and changes none of your terms. Two rules keep it honest. First, no bookmaker can buy a place or a position on this site; we list books we have vetted for licence and payout record, and the order reflects our judgement of the terms and the operator, not who pays most. Second, when we mention a bookmaker we have no deal with, we say nothing different about them; if a book without a deal is the right answer, that is the answer we give.

Our rules

We are not a bookmaker and take no bets. We never present betting as an income. Season facts on this site come from official league records and are dated. Prices move constantly, so we describe markets rather than quoting numbers that would be stale by Friday; the current price is always the one at the book. And every page carries the responsible gambling basics, because a nine-month bet is exactly the kind you should never make with money you need.
