A season-long bet is a position you hold for nine months. These are the three classic markets, with what actually happened last season so you know what you are pricing.

The title
May 2026: Arsenal, 85 points, their first in 22 years.
The headline market. Prices are shortest on the obvious three, which is exactly why last season punished anyone who assumed the engraver only knows two names.

The drop
May 2026: West Ham, Burnley and Wolves went through it.
Relegation betting is the connoisseur’s market: three names fall through the trapdoor every May, and the prices move on every winter transfer window. West Ham at pre-season prices rewarded the brave.

May 2026: Haaland again, 27 goals, three boots in four years.

Three things to know before your name is on a ticket for nine months

Prices drift, then collapse
Outright prices are at their most generous before a ball is kicked and vanish fast once form shows. The trade-off: early prices carry the most ignorance. Betting in August is buying uncertainty at a discount.

Each-way terms are the market
Two books quoting the same headline price can differ wildly on each-way places and fractions. On title and boot markets, the terms decide the value more than the price does.

Your money sleeps for nine months
A season bet locks your stake until May unless the book offers cash-out. That is fine, that is the point, but only stake what you are happy to leave engraved until spring.
